I’m taking a class called “Understanding Cultures and Worldviews,” and part of the class is that I have to do an ethnographic research project. I chose a neighborhood called “El Molinito.” Here’s a quick view of the street as I drove through today.
A few weeks ago I went to Torreon, Coahuila, to speak at a youth ministry conference. On Sunday, we went to the local team’s soccer game (the Santos). It was so much fun, besides being hot and sunny (I didn’t bring “soccer game” clothes). Anyway, this video is of the “porra”, or the group that sings the cheers and plays the drums all game. By the way, the home team won 4-0.
