Camp in Silao Guanajuato

Here are some random clips from Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico.

The big mountain is Cerro del Cubilete, considered to be the geographical center of the country of Mexico. It’s a volcano with a giant statue of Jesus on the top of it.

The green beans you see are roasted garbanzo beans. They weren’t too bad…served with salsa, of course.

The lady you see cooking is Doña Lola.

At the end of our workshop, we gave them time to create a rap about some of the things we covered. It’s funny to see Baptist kids rap, especially in this traditional part of Mexico.
