Nathan has been really wanting to go to Build a Bear since we got back from Mexico. He’s been good, and Janell got a coupon (go figure), so she took him today. He made a doggy, named him Buzz, and got him a Buzz Lightyear outfit. He loves him so much already.

We took the kids to the mall today and let them play on the playground. It was Ben’s first time at a playground like that. They both loved it.

Benjamin’s First Birthday

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since Benjamin was born! He’s grown so much in a year. We don’t have a huge plan for his first birthday since Janell was just in Florida. They had a combined celebration for Nathan and Benjamin while they were there.

We will eat cake, play a lot, and have lots of fun as a family. In the meantime, here are two videos from Ben’s first day.

12 Seconds Batman Suit

It’s no secret that I love going to special places with my family. Today we went on a picnic in Chapultepec Park and then went to the zoo.

Chapultepec Park is lined with kiosk type things where people sell lots of things…bubbles, snacks, soccer jerseys, hats, t-shirts, and other things.

On our way into the zoo, Nathan saw a Batman mask and cape that he wanted. We told him that if he was a good boy, we’d get it for him. The price was definitely right (40 pesos = $2.70 USD), so we bought it on the way out.

I posted the following video to 12seconds.tv. It’s Nathan in his new Batman suit, but I think the audio is my favorite part. So turn up your speakers and listen!
