This Sunday night, at 6:00 pm, we will be sharing at Grace Bible Church in Hudson about the ministry in Mexico. If you’d like more information, please feel free to email us. We’d love to see you there.
Whole Night for the Whole World
Tomorrow night, young people all over the world will be praying all night for the 2.1 billion other young people in the world, most of whom have never heard about Jesus. Read the article here.
Stunned
We just got news from some of our best friends here that they will be leaving in July. It’s stunning to us right now. I personally don’t know how to respond. It is difficult to see good friends leave. It is something we will be dealing with in the next few weeks, so please pray for us.
In the meantime, we started Youth Ministry 130 at the seminary yesterday. Programs in Youth Ministry is a course about planning and leading a youth ministry in a local church. It includes calendar planning, budgeting, and event planning. Hopefully, it will help the students to become better ministers, developing quality, professional youth ministries. We also have a new youth ministry student. Her name is Diana. Now we have 4 total students who are studying youth ministry.
Packing
You never know how much you have until it’s time to pack up and move to another country. That’s what I always say. Have you ever thought of how many suitcases it would take for you to move your family to a different country? Well, that’s what we’re going through right now. We’ve sorted and boxed and thrown out and parted with so many things. It’s hard to decide what to take and what to leave here.
Weekend Ministry
We had a good weekend of ministry at New Hope. I had the opportunity to preach on Romans 10:9-15 about the mission tree. The mission tree is just like any other tree. It is planted in soil. It has a trunk and roots, and, when healthy, it bears fruit. In missions, it is the same. The soil is God’s Heart for the Nations (Genesis 12:1-3). The trunk that gives it strength is the gospel of Jesus Christ (Romans 1:16). The root of successful missions is the prayer of God’s people. And the fruit of successful missions is the glory of God. Those who pray for the ministry are just as important as those who proclaim the gospel. Both are needed in order for a tree to bear fruit. Please be a part of this ministry by praying for us. Thank you! You are important!
