It’s Mother’s Day! So I took some time to make this video of the boys talking about their mom and what they love about her.
This is probably one of my favorite videos I’ve ever done.

Being a Dad is a lot of things. This week, I’ve spent a lot of time with my two boys. Janell is out of town, and I’m alone with my two big guys. It’s been fun, challenging, funny, exhausting, and many other things.
Last night it was time to go to bed, and they wanted candy. I told them no because it was time to go to bed. They had already stayed up later than normal, and I was ready for them to go to sleep. Well, Ben had a tantrum. I pulled out my phone and recorded it. I hope one day he will watch this and laugh, too.

That song was to remind us that God is always watching what we do, but yesterday, I noticed something that reminded me of the song.
Nathan was sitting on the couch playing on the computer. His little brother watched him playing the computer, went into his bedroom, and got out the toy computer that they have so he could play on it, too. He copied everything Nathan did, using the computer to do “work.”
Last night we went to the mall after dinner to let the kids run of some energy at the playground. We usually let Ben walk next to us so he gets a little extra exercise.
So we’re walking along and notice that Ben was lagging behind. Janell and I both turned around to look at him, and he was bending over picking up something off the ground.
While he is picking it up he was excitedly saying, “I found a coupon.” He held it up and it was a coupon for a free Chik-fil-a sandwich.
He is so much like his mother.
